The birds arrived on site at 11:27, and all the drinkers were filled by 12:30 am.

The lights were switched on again at 04:00 to give plenty of time for a drink before liberation.

Sunrise at Exeter was at 05:01 am, with broken clouds overhead and light rain forecast at Yelverton, starting at 05:00, and heading towards us. The birds were liberated at 05:40, with no wind on site but a light SSE wind forecasted on route

then turning SSW as the day progresses.

By the time the crates were checked, all the birds were out of sight.
